Are Our Politicians Failing Our Lobbyists?
I stumbled upon a wonderfully satirical video from the Onion News Network.
The special interests which wield so much power in our society have corrupted our system. The extent to which this is true shocks and horrifies me. I find it fascinating that often the only way to understand something is to parody it.
Unfortunately, the answer to the question of the clip is a resounding no. The corrosive influence of special interests affects congressmen from both sides of the aisle. We need a different kind of politics, one which doesn't answer to Big Business. Obama isn't perfect, but McCain, a man involved in the Keating Five scandal, is a giant leap in the wrong direction.

Sure McCain has his faults, but Obama scares the everliving out of me... I never thought that I would come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton would be much a greater president than Obama.
