Thought of the Day: Crisis in Burma

I was going to write a scathing editorial about John McCain and the Keating Five, but it can wait.

Thought of the Day: Let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of kids in Burma whose lives will be lost or destroyed. A new estimate is that 133,000 have already been killed in the deadly Cyclone Nargis. Al Jazeera reports that 30,000 children under five years of age will starve to death "within weeks" unless immediate aid is brought. The military junta which seized control of the southeast Asian country several years ago, has blocked much international aid from reaching the victims.
