On Al Jazeera

Al Jazeera reports that Israeli settlers in the West Bank have been desecrating Palestinian graves.

When people hear that I read Al Jazeera, they often raise their eyebrows. I know that they are often anti-American, and I consider their coverage accordingly. I also read the Jerusalem Post, which on occasion ventures close to yellow journalism. While the J-Post's stories can usually be summed up as "the Palestinians are so mean to us!", Al Jazeera's coverage is much more varied and thoughtful. It reports on human rights violations or other stories everywhere around the globe that are often not reported by the major American sources. If you read its editorials, it is somewhat anti-American. Each side has a story to tell. The Jerusalem Post never reports Israeli bombings that kill Palestinian civilians....

My point: there is something to be said for reading all points of view, even those with which you may fervently disagree.
