As the debate nears its close, Biden is beginning to sprint. He's growing impassioned and parried Palin's attempt to play the "children" and "motherhood" card. He's making his case to women by simply laying out his positions and tying McCain to Bush over and over.
Once again, Palin's answers are non-answers. I'm hardly listening to them any more. It's the same recycled McCain lines without any attempt to tailor them to the question she's supposed to be answering.
One other thing; Biden is speaking in complete, quotable sentences. Palin is taking a different tack, trying to be informal and folksy. But the "ya know"s and "also" and "joshin' with ya"s are beginning to weigh her down. As the hour and a half wears on, she seems entirely empty of actual policy messages. It's not working.

I agree with Palin. We should strengthen our "national security freedoms".

I completely agree. Palin hasn't actually said anything for over an hour. She only keeps repeating her false message of change (see comments on last posts).
"Say it ain't so, Joe," (Sarah Palin).
"dogganit!" (Sarah Palin).
"Yours was a joke too except nobody got it," (Sarah Palin).
The terms Hockey Mom or Soccer Mom or six-pack joe, like every other word.
I feel like Sarah Palin's doing a stand up comedy act to a bunch of 9 year olds.
Fred: you have a point. Her folksy schtick is really irritating. My impression from the focus groups is that it didn't resonate at all with undecideds.
