Sometimes I write poems in my spare time. Here is my latest one:
You look at the election
And you say "Who's John McCain?"
He's not the perfect candidate
Now just let me explain:
He says that he knows little
About matters economic
And vows to fight the infidels:
The terrorists Islamic.
His tortured years in Vietnam
Were noble and heroic
But I'd prefer a President
Born since the Mesozoic.
If he's elected there's one thing
Of which we can be sure:
We'll stay in Iraq a thousand years
And then a thousand more.He says "reform campaign finance";
Runs against the corporate lobby;
But likes to fly on private jets
And meet folks like Chalabi.
And don't you put it past him
He'll do it if he can
We'll be in Iraq a thousand years
Then we'll invade Iran.
He'll jump to ban abortion
And the issue of gay marriage
He'll have affairs and no one cares
But Clinton's he'll disparage.
Justifying the Iraq war
With his time in Vietnam:
With his militaristic mindset
You know just who we'll bomb.
But then, you may ask, what comes next-
What is his long term plan?
Is it Turkey? Egypt? Syria?
Pakistan? Iran?
You needn't be an Einstein
Or the honored Dalai Lama...
To know that this guy just ain't fine
And to support Obama.

Sorry, wasn't it Obama who suggested that he would bomb Pakistan, Not to mention the fact that Obama, at least from his plans knows little to nothing of the economy himself, whether he admits it or not. Oh yeah, and I think you're intelligent enough to understand that just about anything that comes out of the New York Times is propoganda, especially when there is virtually no proof to back it up.
Ignorance is bliss
But not for long
If Obama is elected
we ought to start singing a goodbye song
Please adhere to the rules of standard social decency. They are as follows:
1. Don't insult others' intelligence.
2. Don't make personal or demeaning remarks.
3. Respect and respond civilly to others' opinions, recognizing their right to disagree.
If you can't follow these rules, then you can't participate. It's that simple.
I look forward to hearing your constructive feedback in the future.
i'm sorry, i certainly did not mean for it to be taken that way. You're clearly an intelligent person, my apologies I got a bit riled up
It is true. Everything you'll see in New York opinions or news is biased. But yet, the McCain poem is accurate. So I guess whoever we elect will be a poor candidate? Maybe our nation's in such a bad position that now matter what anyone does, it's still a bad idea and a bad view.
